OH, I completely forgot that we celebrated Daddy's birthday at the house with cake and ice cream which Thomas has now come to know what a birthday cake is....he gets so excited when he sees one especially with the candles lit....we had one in October for him, one in November for mommy and one in December for Daddy....lots of birthday cake has been eaten in the Hastings household the last three months. Granddad Dale also had a birthday but unfortunately we didn't get to celebrate it with him.
It has been awhile since I have blogged about Thomas...so, here it goes. Lots has been going on...mommy had to go to Charleston, SC for a week for meetings so Daddy and Thomas spent lots of time at Nana's and PawPaw's house. We got our tree up the Sunday after Thanksgiving and Thomas loves it....of course he likes the bows on the presents better. We went to see Santa this weekend and Thomas didn't really like him...he was scared and didn't really warm up to him at all. Oh well, maybe next year. We took some pics in front of our tree for our Christmas cards this past Sunday. We think Thomas likes having his picture made now because he gets so excited when we get the cameras out. Nana and PawPaw were at the house too so that gets him excited anyway. We are almost ready for Christmas and can't wait for GG (Thomas's great grandfather from Oak Ridge who is named after) to get here....he'll fly in on the 20th and be here 20 days....should be lots of fun. I hope to post one more time before Christmas but if I don't, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

First Haircut!
Sorry it has been while since I have updated the blog but we have had a lot going on that I will share with you now. First thing is that Thomas had his first haircut! YES, he is 13 months old and already needed a haircut, he could have had a ponytail it was so long in the back. We were visiting Granddad Dale and Grandma Harriette on Saturday, November 15th and Daddy asked Grandma to go get her scissors and that is how it all begain. Grandma Harriette came back with her handy dandy scissors and a nice little cape to put around Thomas's neck. Daddy sat him on the kitchen table and got him distracted with a comb and a froggie and away Grandma went cutting his hair. He did great until the end then he started getting a little restless....but overall he was fantastic! Grandma did an AWESOME job considering she was dealing with a moving target! Then we had mommy's birthday and Thomas loved eating the icing on my cake! He liked the tissue paper in my presents too....we had Nana, PawPaw, Grammie, Granddad Dale and Grandma Harriette over for dinner so we all could celebrate. PawPaw Freddy built Thomas a table to go with his chair--he was going to wait until Christmas but wanted Thomas to have it now. Thomas loves it! Well, I think that is about it for now. Tomorrow we will have Thanksgiving at our house so Thomas will enjoy all the family over and love all the attention. Should be a great day because we all have so much to be thankful for this year! (Sorry, I think I have our pictures in the wrong order....)

Night Out!!!

Mommy and Daddy had a "night out" a couple of weeks ago and went to the Blues Gala. Nana and Paw Paw were out of town so we had Miss Brittany come and stay with Thomas....when I called home at 7:30 he was sleepy so he was taking his bottle and going to bed, when I called home after 10 and said that we were on our way home....he was up playing having a big ole time....HA! He has Miss Brittany wrapped around his little finger.

Happy Halloween!!!!
Happy Halloween everyone! We carved a pumpkin last night and Thomas had to get in the floor and touch it after it was finished. This morning he had to ride his Disney car before we left to go to school --he is in his pumpkin t-shirt since he wouldn't wear his pumpkin costume. His Harvest Party was today and mommy and daddy went and we all had a ball seeing all of the kids in their costumes. Kenlee wins favorite costume, she is a candy corn....we tried to get a group photo but never got all of them to stay still long enough.

Neigihborhood Halloween Parade
Thomas got to be in his first neighborhood halloween parade this Sunday. Thanks to Christy and Chastity we got to ride in their decorated trailer and Daddy drove their four wheeler. We were planning to pull Thomas in his wagon but they called about 30 minutes before the parade started and asked us to ride with them...we were so happy about that because we would have never made the long parade route walking...HA! Thomas did not like his pumpkin costume at all so we finally got a pumpkin t-shirt on him so that was what he wore instead of his costume. We did get to see Abby Kate after the parade...we miss her now that we aren't in the same room at daycare anymore. We all had fun and can't wait for next year.
